The graduation ceremony for all those who have passed their exams since summer will take place on the 7th of February 2014 in the old auditorium (Alte Aula, Grabengasse 1). 450 years have passed since William Shakespeare's birth in Stratford-upon-Avon – and his works are still very much alive and kicking. In recent years there has also been a growing interest in the plays of his contemporaries. Both tendencies are reflected in this year’s excursion to Stratford-upon-Avon, which is aptly entitled "Shakespeare and His Contemporaries".
The program of the next Anglistenchor concert focuses on the late Romantic. A relatively unknown but intriguing piece by Arnold Mendelssohn, a cousin of Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy's, sets the stage for Herbert Howells' uniquely English eulogy for American president John F. Kennedy. Works by English composers Ralph Vaughan Williams and C.H.H. Parry round out the a capella portion of the program. Bach's motet, "Der Geist hilft unser Schwachheit auf", is framed by two organ works by Max Reger, "Fantasia" und "Fuge über B-A-C-H", played by Stefan Göttelmann. The evening concludes with Max Reger's haunting "Nachtlied".

Rosie has had no job, no relationship, and no sex for quite a while.
Suddenly fortune seems to be on her side again when she meets her
attractive neighbour, Sam. But when Rosie tells him a simple little lie,
things rapidly start spinning out of control.
