Study Room
Guidelines
What is the study room?
The study room is an extra room within the library where you can have your own desk. It is locked so you can leave your learning materials if you wish to do so.
Who can use the study room?
People eligible for a desk in the study room are PhD students, Exam candidates, MA, BA and GymPO students writing their thesis. You can book your spot for two months. If there is no free space at the moment you can be put on a waiting list.
It is possible to extend your booking on your last day if there is no one waiting list. Please speak to a member of staff at the information desk. Otherwise, please clear out all your personal belongings and books on your last day.
Use of books
You can use and leave books on your desk on the condition that you tell the staff at the information desk the signature and titles of these books. Books are not limited by time or number as long as they are not needed otherwise. (There is a copy machine and a scanner in the library so that we are sure you can find a solution.)
Key
The study room can be used during the regular opening hours of the library. The first person to enter the study room needs to leave their student ID card at the information desk in exchange for the key. Of course, ID cards of can be swapped during lunch breaks and the like. The last person to leave is responsible to lock the room and give back the key to the information desk.
Etiquette
All other rules of the library apply as well (especially food and drink regulations, laptop cases). Noise should be kept to a minimum and conversations should not disturb other users of the library or study room.
